1940's L.S. Donaldson Detailed Wool Crepe Dressmaker Suit
10-102

This 1940's suit with interesting details is made of fuschia colored wool crepe fabric. The collarless jacket with a sweetheart neckline has large shoulder pads. The jacket front is embellished with four scrolls made of 1/2" wide self tape. 9" long ties close the waist. Tucks provide front waist shaping; the back of the jacket has princess seams. The lining is dobby weave tan rayon crepe. The skirt with a metal side zipper has been lengthened by inserting an almost matching 4" wide band below the 1 1/2" wide waistband which does not show if worn with the jacket or an overblouse. The skirt front has four gores with 16" long stitched slits; the back has three gores. Label: "Youthfully yours" Miss Nicollet, registered exclusive fashion L.S.
