1920's Brown Silk Dress with Beaded Floral Trim 10-203

This dark golden brown late 1920's, early 1930's dress is made of silk charmeuse, a satin finish fabric. The slip over the head style has a high shallow round neckline with a 1 1/2" wide band of red and clear cut glass and dark iridescent bugle bead work. On each lower side skirt front is a 12" wide, 13" high curvilinear beaded floral design. The 6" long sleeves are extended by a 7 1/2" long flared bound cuff that has a short bound slit above the cuff held together with a double loop over 1/2" diameter self covered buttons. The dropped waist is gathered and stitched onto a heavy brown grosgrain ribbon to control the fullness.
