  1950's Claire Tiffany Button Front Day Dress with Flared Skirt 10-212
The heavy rayon fabric of this button front dress is a tiny black and medium green window plaid which from a distance appears to be tweed. The long curved lapels are continuous with the collar which is notched in back. The dolman sleeves are elbow length with shoulder pads. The front close with 12 black composition 3/8" diameter ball buttons. 7" long rounded tabs extend from the shoulder seam on the bodice front; 8" ones extend from the waist seam on the skirt. Each tab is outlined with small white braided cord and has a button at the bottom with a nonfunctional button hole. The flared skirt has 4 panels in front and 3 in back with side seam pockets.
