1980's Searle Heavy Black Wool Coat with Mouton Fur Collar 10-407
What a great classic and handsome warm coat that you can wear for years to come. It is made of heavy black wool coating fabric with some mohair content which gives it a slightly frosted effect. The very long brown mouton fur shawl collar tapers from 4" wide at the back to 6" at the widest part of the lapels and tapers again to 1" wide where it ends below the waist. The coat closes with two black composition buttons horizontally placed with an under button to hold the lap over in place. A matching button is on each rounded half cuff; shoulder pads. Large 8 1/2" by 10" front pockets with rounded bottoms extend from each side seam. The back has a center back seam with side back fitting seams. There is a 20" long lower mid back vent. The lining is heavy black nylon twill. Label: Searle, Nieman-Marcus, 8, Made in USA. The New York manufacturer, Searle Blatt & Co, is noted for luxury coats.

Size: Medium/Large - 8-16. Note: The coat is marked size 8, but measurements show that it could fit up to a size 16.
Measurements: 46" bust; 48" hips; 15" sleeve length measured from under arm seam; 16 1/2" upper mid back sleeve seam to sleeve seam width; 48" mid back length; 64" bottom circumference including over laps. Remember to allow about 4" of ease beyond your actual measurements so the coat will fit properly over your clothes.
