 1940's Seneca Brown Wool Knit Belted Top & Pleated Skirt Set 11-147
This figure defining late 1930's, early 1940's knit two piece dress is comfortable, tailored and feminine. Each piece can be worn separately. The rust brown soft wool knit set has a moderate amount of stretch. The hip length short sleeved top has a high round neckline with a narrow pointed collar. A mid front placket closes with three 1/3" diameter squared domed metallic buttons. A 3/4" wide dark brown artificial leather belt with a braided middle section and gold metal fittings goes through knitted belt loops and buckles in back. The ribbed waist band of the flared skirt is lightly elasticized. The top 5" of the skirt is lightly ribbed; below it the skirt has a pleated effect with 1 1/4" wide sections with 1/4" sections in between. Edges of the collar, sleeves and skirt bottom are finished with 1/2" wide ribbing. Label: Seneca Knitted Fashions, Styled by Wendy, 100% wool, Seneca Sportswear, N.Y.
