 1940's Steel Cut Buttoned Moiré Pattern Taffeta

This late 1930's or early 1940's fitted dressmaker made blouse has a sweetheart neckline and full puffed sleeves with shoulder pads in the sleeve cap. Wear it with a flared skirt or with dressy pants for a dramatic outfit. It is made of black moiré (watered effect) taffeta. There are 17 collectible 1/2" diameter steel cut buttons down the mid front; it fastens underneath with snaps. The buttons have dark silver colored metal rims and shanks with slightly domed centers of gold filigree over black. A steel cut faceted black bead is in the center of each, with four smaller ones spaced near the rim.
