|1940's National Recovery Board Green Wool Crepe Skirt Suit 2-111
This softly tailored 1940's suit is made of sea green wool crepe that is becoming to most skin tones. The jacket with shoulder pads has a convertible collar. Soft gathers are below upper non functional pocket flaps; tucks are above lower pocket flaps over bound pocket openings. Three elegant 1 1/4" diameter dark moss green buttons incised in a starburst design are pinned on so you can place them to best fit you; hand worked button holes. The fitted jacket back has four panels. The lining is light avocado green dobby weave rayon. The flared skirt with a set on waist band has a 17" long mid front pleat. The skirt back has three panels; brass Talon side zipper. Labels: National Coat and Suit Industry Recovery Board, Size 15.

Measurements: Jacket: 40" bust; 34" waist; 19" sleeve length measured from under arm seam; 15" upper mid back sleeve seam to sleeve seam width; 24" mid back length; 42" bottom circumference. Skirt: 29" waist; 40" hips; 24 1/2" length; 64" bottom circumference. Note: The skirt has been taken in a total of about 3" on the right side seam and the two back seams. It could be returned to the original size or let out to fit you; the soft fabric will not show seam changes.
