|1916 Carson Pirie Scott Navy Cutaway Tuxedo Jacket 2-309
Beautifully tailored, this fine textured dark navy wool crepe cutaway tails tuxedo jacket has high curved lapels faced with silk faille. The navy color is so dark it is referred to has midnight navy. The front and back have curved fitting seams; six non functional faille covered buttons slant toward the waist front. Four 1/2" diameter covered buttons are on each vented sleeve cuff. A 3/4" diameter button is at each side of the mid back waist. The 28" long split tails are lined with navy rayon fabric. They begin about 4 1/2" from the mid front waist and curve down to 3" wide at the bottom. The jacket is lined with heavy almost black rayon twill; sleeves are lined with heavy cream colored rayon twill. Labels: Carson Pirie Scott & Co., The Men's Store (thistle emblem on a black satin woven label). Inside pocket tailor's label: Lot 16-5, size 37. We believe this is a May 1916 date.
