1960s Knit Suit 5-106
According to the label this oatmeal colored suit is knitted from a luxurious blend of silk, angora, nylon and wool. It is incredibly soft and light weight. The two pieces make is versatile as both the skirt and top can be worn with other separates. The top has alternating cream colored and oatmeal colored 4" long, 3" wide triangles outlined with hemstitching. The back is plain. There are 8 hand embroidered floral motifs on the front in pink, rose, light yellow, avocado green and gray. The front closes with 8 1/2" lustrous mother of pearl buttons. 1" ribbing is on the sleeve cuffs and on the bottom of the long sleeved sweater. The elastic waist skirt has a straight line. Labels: Segue, 58% silk, 30% nylon, 10% nylon, 2% lambs wool. Assembled in Hong Kong. Knit in China.
