Louis Feraude Suit 5-114

This stylish morning glory blue and charcoal gray wool flannel suit is by a well known French designer of the 1960's through the 90's. We think this suit is from the late 1980's based on the label style. Designer clothing from the 1980's can only grow in value! The just below the waist length long sleeved jacket has a shawl tuxedo style collar. It closes at the waist with 2 domed lustrous charcoal gray metal buttons. Superior workmanship throughout: the seams are flat felled on the outside, adding to the tailored look and there is a lot of hand stitching throughout the suit. The gray turn back cuffs are notched. The back of the jacket is lined with very fine textured chocolate brown nylon, There are 2 1/2" vents on the fitting seams on the back. There is a 3 1/2" silver chain for hanging. The blue under button is stamped: Louis Feraude, Paris. Black label: Louis Feraude, Paris, 42, I. Magnin & Co. New wool, dry clean only.

The skirt has an inverted pleat in the mid front with 2 side pleats. There is a mid back seam with fitting darts. The waist band closes with hooks and eyes. There is a plastic side zipper. The full black rayon lining is attached at the waist. A pocket is in each side seam. Black labels: Made in Western Germany; Louis Feraude, 42. There is a separate Made in Western Germany label sewed over the word Paris at the bottom of the skirt label.
