1970's Velveteen Skirt and Tunic/Vest 6-103

Medium cherry red colored cotton velveteen fabric has a lush soft surface and rich color. The princess seamed sleeveless tunic/vest has a 1 3/4" wide banded back neckline which extends down the collarless front. It closes with four pairs of 1" diameter mirror back gold filigree buttons connected by a hooked 3" gold chain. Full length flared graceful, A-line skirt, has eight panels. The skirt closes in the center back with Velcro tabs and a hidden plastic zipper. Please note that the waist of the skirt is somewhat smaller in proportion the top. If you need to make the skirt larger, it could be raised at the waist to make it larger, an alteration job that can be done by a person with medium level sewing skills. The fine quality fabric makes it well worth working on if needed, or wear the two pieces separately.
