1960’s Coat with Fur Collar and Cuffs 6-407

Very fine weave twill wool scarlet red coat. This jewel of a dressy festive coat has both an Art Deco and Victorian romantic look. The front bust area is shaped by V shaped 2 rows of stitching which converge above the slit pockets and continue to the front hem as 4 rows of stitching wide. The back has princess seams and 4 rows of stitches down the center back. No side seams. Self bound buttonholes; 3 heavy 1" heavy circularly incised composition buttons. The dark rich golden brown fur collar is 6” wide sent on a band about 2" away from the neckline at back. It could be removed for a collarless coat. 5" wide removable fur cuffs. Heavy red satin rayon lining. Label: Shagmoore, Facile Princess, 100% wool.
