1940’s Flared Back Coat with Mink Collar 7-420
A warm, cheerful, elegant coat to banish the winter blues and cold. The wool coating fabric is a very fine novelty weave of red orange with dark maroon/ brown threads which mute the bright color somewhat. The neckline of the coat is completely finished under the mink collar with a 1 1/2" wide inset band collar. The mink collar closes with a fur hook and eye and is tacked at two places so it could be removed. Four 1 1/2" two part self covered buttons close the front.
Slightly slanted welt pockets. There are six tapering panels on the flared back. The lining is lustrous rose rayon taffeta with interlining. There is curvilinear machine embroidery on the side fronts and lower mid back of the lining. The images show a shadow across the bottom of the coat; be assured the color is even through out.
