1950's Young Cosmopolitans Velveteen Dress 8-201
Black velveteen dress has a deep front and back scoop neckline. Cap sleeves have fold back pointed cuffs which are 1" wide at the underarm and 4 1/4" wide at the points. The underarm has a diamond gusset for ease of movement. The fitted pointed front and back has a slightly dropped waist. Very full gathered skirt would have been worn with several bouffant petticoats to make the skirt stand out. Metal side zipper. We have difficulty photographing black items like this one.
