1930’s Wrap Around Maternity Half Slip 8-507
An interesting garment for your collection of very fine quality light peach colored silk crepe. Is it a maternity half slip or does it wrap across the front to provide a modesty panel? It is constructed with a center back panel, then two other panels with fitting darts. It fastens with a button and 5 snaps at the waist band. The waist band can be expanded by unbuttoning the waist band and using just snaps to close it. The overlap is rounded at the bottom. The old hemline shows; hem it to length you need. The enclosed seams are very narrow machine sewn. Labels:
Trillco Crepe, Pure Silk. There is also a faded
National Recovery Act label which was used only between 1933 and 1936.
