1910s Under Dress/Slip 8-522
What a pretty undergarment made of very fine weave sheer white cotton batiste. It was probably intended to wear under a lingerie, net or lace dress. There is a 5" wide machine net lace band at the top bodice with a 1" wide palest blue satin ribbon inserted in it. White satin ribbon straps are 1/2" wide and 17" long. At the high waist is a 1/2" wide net insertion threaded with pale blue 1/4" wide pale silk ribbon which can be drawn up and tied in the back to shape the waist. The skirt is softly gathered from the waist. There is another 5" wide lace band at the bottom of the skirt with a darker 1" wide blue ribbon threaded through it. At the bottom is an 8" wide slightly gathered ruffle. A 22" long mid back placet closes with snaps with a hook and eye at the waist. Machine hemmed.
