1910's Hand Sewn Cotton Batiste Armistice Blouse 9-110

This long sleeved white sheer white cotton batiste blouse is skillfully sewn completely by hand with narrow french (enclosed) seams. The armistice style with a panel in front is typical of the time period during and after World War I when women's styles were moving away from the fussiness of Victorian styles, but still had lots of feminine details. The squared 4" wide shawl collar is 31" long. The collar is outlined with hemstitching and embellished with white embroidered dots which are also on the front panel. The front shoulders have three 1/4" wide tucks that are 4" long. The 3" wide cuffs on the sleeves have a two and one half turn back, edged with hem stitching. The 4 3/4" wide front panel has five rows of horizontal hem stitching. It fastens under one of the vertical tucks with six small pearl buttons. The bottom has a 2" wide cuff and fastens with snaps.

Very Good condition.
There are small self professional darns on each cuff, which are not conspicuous because they are hidden by the fold of the cuff.

Size: Small/Medium - 6-10.
Measurements: 42" bust; 15" sleeve length measured from under arm seam plus 3" wide turn back cuff; 13" upper mid back sleeve seam to sleeve seam width; 33" circumference of bottom band.
