1940's Wool Gabardine Swing Back Coat with Zipper Lining
9-417
A beautiful warm coat of silky maroon colored wool gabardine made with an attention to detail not found in today's clothing. The proportions are very nice with big shoulder pads and long flared back. It closes with four self covered two piece buttons with decorative stitching; bound buttonholes. An under collar tab has two buttons. There is hand picking (stitching) on the rounded collar, the split turn back cuffs, on the slanted pocket and on the back yoke. A four panel flared back is below the shaped yoke. The lining attached to the coat is dark maroon rayon. There is also a two layer zip out lining with raglan sleeves and open underarms for ventilation and ease in movement. The inner layer is light weight soft and supple leather. The sleeves are the same wool gabardine as the coat with knit cuffs. The outer layer of the zip out lining is dark maroon rayon twill. Label: Genuine "Leather Zip" tailored by Climate Tamer.
