1950's Draper's Studio of Modes Beaded Tan Wool Coat 9-421

A very special flared embellished coat with natural shoulders is made of light tan (bisque) colored wool coating fabric. The coat front has modified raglan sleeves; the back sleeves are dolman. The collar of the flared coat is a 2" wide band which continues down each front side. It is generously embellished on the sleeves, front and upper back with curvilinear designs outlined with lustrous tan couching (cord). Flower and leaf designs are filled in with iridescent sequins, beads, small pearls, and rhinestones. Vertical pocket openings are bound. The lining is heavy cream colored crepe back rayon satin. Label: Draper Studio of Modes, Pasadena and Cobina, an Exclusive Fabric by Forstmann, 100% Virgin Wool.
