1910's Blue and White Checkered Dust Cap A-036
Woven blue and white cotton checked hat has a 10 1/2" long, 2 1/4" wide head band on front outlined with a 1 1/4" wide light blue ruffle. The back is cut in two pieces for height and fullness Elastic in casing across the back neckline also adds fullness. Caps such as this one were worn by women to protect their hair while cleaning.
