
1940’s Romper

This charming romper of white fine weave cotton broadcloth could be worn by either a boy or a girl. It is entirely hand made including seams. Small scallops outline the V front and back. Each scallop is finished with very fine hand done button hole stitches in blue. There are three tucks at the shoulders. Mid front are three blue appliqueed baby birds outlined with more blue button hole stitches. Each has yellow eye, bill and feet details. A 1" wide belt buttons at each side front and extends around the back through belt loops. The front bottom is extended at the crotch with a triangular piece which buttons with three small pearl buttons. Label:
