1930's Folk Art Wall Hanging H-028
Delightful naive and cheerful vintage wall hanging. Hang it near your morning coffee spot to bring a smile to your face. The background is heavy dark olive green cotton gabardine. At the top are three felt flowers; rose, pink, turquoise. Each flower is 3 1/4" in diameter and has a contrasting felt center and embroidery. Embroidered stems have green leaves. At the bottom right is a turquoise rectangular felt section outlined with yellow button hole stitching. Three charming pink stylized chickens with embroidery trim complete this charming piece. It is hand hemmed on each side with a 1" wide hem at the top which is open at each end to insert a dowel for hanging.
