1930's Star Pattern Queen Size Tied Cotton Quilt H6-004
A cheerful, crisp, multicolored 100% cotton quilt that is a sturdy and usable. We don't know the name of the 19 1/2" square patches, perhaps a variation of a window pane pattern? The almost 5" wide sashes are the light green/light aqua popular in the 1930's. The multicolored patches include pinks, lavenders, yellows and much more. The prints include shirting fabrics, gingham checks and small prints offset by white satin petal shapes, all 1930's fabrics. The machine stitched quilt top has a 1 3/4" fold over binding on the top edge. Other edges are unbound. The quilt is tied with turquoise and light green wool yarn. The backing is pastel striped cotton flannel. The batting is heavy cotton.
