 1910s Apron Pinafore HA-016
This most interesting vintage garment is made of fine white cotton vintage muslin fabric with narrow vertical black stripes overprinted with angled pale pink squares. It would be a unique addition to both your apron and fabric collection. According to Wikipedia: “A pinafore is a sleeveless garment worn as an apron. The name reflects that the pinafore was formerly pinned (pin) to the front (afore) of the dress.” The front skirt wraps around to the back where shaped straps with rounded ends cross in back and then come across the shoulders over the bodice front to fasten with 1/2" pearl buttons and snaps; hand worked button holes. All edges are machine hemmed. There is a shallow rounded bottom triangular shaped pocket on the right front.
