Early 1900’s Photo of Girls P6-016

One can look and look at this photo of eleven girls. Is it a school class? Two girls in the back seem to be wearing mortar boards. Why is the young girl to the “teacher’s” right in the photo. A Sunday School class? Is the tallest girl a teacher? What a wonderful variety of hats. And the clothing is so varied and interesting, too. The right hand side could show part of a portable canvas photographer’s booth. It was obviously taken out of an album. It could be cropped a little on the right hand side and framed to make a fine addition to a history of education display, or for a display of children’s vintage clothing.
