Condition
All items are clean. Most have been dry cleaned or laundered. Some items may still have some discoloration. We point out specific potential issues as well as we can. Condition like beauty may be in the eye of the beholder.
These are our definitions:
• Never worn/New-old: May have original tags.
Some may have been laundered or dry-cleaned because of mustiness from storage.
• Excellent: Shows very little wear, no or minor nearly invisible flaws.
• Good: Some evidence of wear or evidence of flaws or mending.
Still a good usable piece.
• Fair: Quite a bit of wear or visible flaws; still good to wear,
for study, for display, or as an example.
If you want like new, it may be better to have a replica garment custom made or purchase a currently manufactured garment showing retro influence. Marian’s sewing teacher used to say of mistakes or flaws, “It will never be noticed on a galloping horse.” So proudly “gallop” away wearing an authentic vintage garment.
